To make your stay in the Braiter holiday apartments as pleasant as possible, we have compiled the most important questions and answers for you. Here you will find quick orientation – for all other matters, we are of course happy to assist you personally.
Inquiries & book:
Arrival & Departure:
Arrival and departure days in the high seasons are Saturday or Sunday. Arrival during the week is possible depending on availability upon request. Please do not hesitate to contact us regarding this.
Check-in is from 15:00.
To ensure you find clean and well-maintained rooms upon your arrival, we need sufficient time to clean and prepare the holiday apartments. If you arrive before 15:00, we kindly ask you to
complete any planned shopping or take a walk. In the meantime, you can park your car on our car park. If you arrive after 20:00, please let us know so we can leave the key for you.
The check-out is possible on weekdays until 9.30 am, on Sundays until 9.00 am.
Equipment and Services:
There are family apartments for 2-4 people, a holiday apartment for 2 people and a mini-apartment for 2 people.
Details about the holiday apartments
Yes, all holiday apartments have a furnished balcony. The Oleander, Palm, Cherry Laurel and Araucaria holiday apartments have a large south balcony with a magnificent view of Merano and the surrounding mountains. The Cypress holiday apartment has a south-west loggia with afternoon and evening sun. The mini-apartment has a very large balcony on the east side.
Yes, the beds are already made up upon your arrival, and hand and kitchen towels are also available and can be changed if needed. There is also an open shelf for self-service on the 1st floor.
Yes, there is a bread roll service at cost price, daily except Sundays and public holidays from Easter to 20 October
Yes, our own natural swimming pond with a sunbathing lawn can be used at any time.
Natural pool
Please bring your own towels for the natural pool.
Yes, there is free Wi-Fi in all holiday apartments.
Yes, there are free parking spaces directly in front of the house.
Yes, there is a paid e-charging station in the car park directly in front of the house.
Yes, there is a guest washing machine for a fee of € 6.00 per wash (without detergent). Ironing board and iron are available if needed, from 14 overnight stays one wash cycle per week is included.
Smoking is prohibited in the holiday apartments, but you may smoke on the balcony and outdoors.
Yes, our garden barbecue with a dining area above the swimming pond can be used. We provide firewood free of charge. Please let us know in advance so that we can prepare the barbecue for you. Barbecuing is not allowed in the holiday apartments or on the balcony.
We are happy to provide you with a travel cot including mattress and a high chair for your toddler. Please bring your own sleeping bag.
Yes, we have a display case with various books, including some children's and non-fiction books. You will also find a box with various board games. Particularly popular with the children is the foosball table.
Guest card:
Yes, the South Tyrol Guestpass Passeiertal Premium is included with us. You will receive this benefits card in digital form. It grants you unlimited use of all means of transport of the local transport association including the public cable cars throughout South Tyrol, admission to the museums of the Passeiertal and many other monetary benefits. If you arrive by train (please let us know), you can already use the GUESTPASS for the journey from the Brenner Pass.

Booking conditions and payment methods:
The booking is valid upon receipt of your written reservation and our subsequent confirmation. Offers from our side are always non-binding.
Yes, a deposit of 30% of the invoice amount is to be paid by bank transfer.
The payment of the invoice for your stay can be made as follows:

The local tax (residence tax) of € 2.30 is calculated per person per day, children under 14 years are exempt from this. The local tax can be transferred or paid in cash, payment by card is not possible.

Travel options
The accommodation is approximately 4 km from Merano and is accessible both by car and by bus.
The Merano main station is 5 km from the accommodation, the Merano-Untermais station about 6 km.
The Bozen airport is approximately 35 km from Kuens/Caines. The airline SkyAlps offers direct flights to Bozen from more than 20 European cities.
Yes, you can book your transfer from Bolzano Airport directly to us in Caines. The price per person and journey is €22.00 from 01.01.2025. Children under 6 years old are free. The shuttle waits directly at Bolzano Airport terminal for your arrival and takes you and your luggage straight to us.
Pets:
Bringing a small dog is allowed upon request. Please note that your four-legged friend is not allowed in the beds or on the upholstered furniture and must not be left alone in the apartment. Dogs are not allowed on the sunbathing lawn. The daily price for a dog with its own blanket or basket is € 10,00 in the mini-apartment and € 15,00 in the holiday apartments. Bringing cats is not allowed.
Bicycles:
Yes, bicycles can be parked in our garage. If you would like to remove your bicycle carrier, you can also deposit this in the garage.
For the bicycle transport in Italy the following rules apply: When transporting bicycles on detachable rear carriers, it is mandatory to attach a red-white warning sign with a size of 50x50 cm to the vehicle. This must be homologated. If the carrier does not have its own registration plate, a duplicate registration plate is mandatory.
Drinking water:
Yes, our tap water comes from the Valtmartal in the upper Passeier Valley and is drinking water of the highest quality.
Shopping and Restaurants:
In the neighbouring village of Rifiano there is a large supermarket, which is reachable by car in approximately 3 minutes. Opening hours: Monday to Saturday from 8:00 to 19:00. Weekdays until 20:00 and on Sundays until 19:00, the "Interspar" in Meran is open.
In the village centre in Riffian, the bakery "My little Bakery" offers fresh bread and baked goods daily from 6 am to 12 pm. Closed on Sundays.
Within walking distance in Kuens/Caines is the restaurant Hilberkeller, in Rifiano the Pizzeria Pircher, the Pizzeria Kehrerhof and the Oberwirtskeller. A bit further away (car recommended) are the popular inn Ungericht in Kuens and the snack bar Riffl in Rifiano.
