The most convenient route by car is via the Brenner motorway A22 – exit Bolzano South – expressway (MeBo) Bolzano-Merano – exit Merano South – follow the signs towards the Passeier Valley – Brunnenplatz – turn right into the Passeier Valley – Kuens – turn right towards the:

In good weather, the scenic drive over the Jaufenpass or the Timmelsjoch is an excellent alternative.
- The Timmelsjoch is toll-based and typically open from May to October.
- The Jaufenpass is open all year round, though at night it may be passable only at your own risk at times.
- Another route open all year runs via Ulm – Kempten – Füssen – Fernpass and Imst to Landeck, then via the Reschenpass and through the Vinschgau valley to Meran, and on into the Passeier valley.
